This dust jacket is designed to represent the overall theme of these books from the “Before the Coffee gets Cold” series. The theme being time and memories. In order to represent this theme, I used objects as the main focus. As these are elements that can be found while reading the book. However, it is still ambiguous enough to not spoil the content.

For example, the use of sand and toys was to represent “Before the Coffee gets Cold” jacket the sands of time and the objects involved that relate to the story. As for the “Tales from the Cafe” jacket the use photos was to represent memories.
